True Jackson, VP's one-hour movie, Trapped in Paris, premieres tomorrow night at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon, so we had to get the scoop on the new special straight from the show's star, Keke Palmer.
J-14: What was your favorite scene to film in Trapped in Paris?
Keke: We were doing like a lot of Scooby-Doo type of stuff! If we just said, 'C'mon gang once, it would be like a Scooby-Doo movie. I have to say one of the things that we did that was really funny was when Matt [Shivley] jumped through the wooden wall to get to the other side because we were locked out, and he jumped through with his head. We all poked our heads out and looked at once and were like, 'Are you alright?' And then we jumped through. That was pretty awesome.
J-14: True dresses up as a flight attendant in the movie -- have you ever done something crazy like that with your friends?
Keke: I wish I could! You've got to be really bold to dress up like a flight attendant. Ever since all of this stuff has happened with the planes, it's hard for you to even walk in with regular clothes on, let alone try to portray a flight attendant! But I would be willing to pretend to be something with my friends beause I'm just goofy like that, but definitely not a flight attendant. I'm too young to go to jail.
J-14: What was it like to rap in that scene?
Keke: That was a lot of fun -- they gave me a lot of freedom to just be goofy like I want. I had a lot of fun in there playing, being crazy - just being myself! That was a scene where I was definitely being Keke Palmer.
J-14: What was your favorite part about working with The Troop's Gage Golightly?
Keke: She's so much fun -- such a free spirit. She really has a genuine personality -- she's just adorable. I love her because she makes you feel good.
J-14: What was it like having your brother on the movie set with you?
Keke: We weren't even in the same scene together, unfortunately. I wish that we were. He was in a scene with Danielle, who plays Amanda Kentwell on the show -- she's like my nemesis. I didn't even get to be in the scene with him! [But] he did such a great job! I was really proud of him. During the rehearsals, I was coaching him because I wanted him to do well, but he did so great without me.
J-14: What was it like to have Justin Bieber guest star on True Jackson, VP earlier this season?
Keke: I love Justin! He's awesome. I talk to him every now and then. He's really sweet. I went to his birthday party. It was really adorable - I called Justin's phone and his mom answered. She was like, "Justin's on punishment right now. I'll give you the rest of the information later, but Justin's in trouble so I'm handling his phone right now." It was so funny!
J-14: Who do you hope will be a guest star next year?
Keke: I would really love for Drake to be on the show, so badly. We almost had him but he couldn't do it!
