Sorry Not Sorry: We Need to Know If 'Riverdale' Season 3 Is Happening Already

OK so need to know, is Riverdale Season 3 for sure happening? Seriously, if you aren't already obsessed with The CW series based on the beloved Archie Comics characters, then it's about time to grab a burger and a milkshake and start binging because we guarantee as soon as you start watching, you'll be hooked. And then you'll understand why we're already desperate to find out the fate of the show. While we're currently in the midst of watching Season 2 every week, naturally, we're already thinking about what's next since we're self-proclaimed Riverdale addicts over here. Will it be having a third season or nah?

Well, the network hasn't announced one way or the other if the show has been renewed or canceled just yet and while we're not even halfway through all 22 episodes we have of the current second season, inquiring minds just want to know. It was back in March of 2017 during Season 1 when The CW formally announced the show would be coming back for a second season.

And then we had all summer to watch it all over again on Netflix/get all of our friends to watch the show too. The current season isn't streaming on Netflix in the U.S. yet although current episodes are there for those in the U.K. so they can easily keep up each week too. So let's hope we'll find out the fate of the Archie, Betty, Jughead, Veronica and the whole crew v soon. If and when the series gets renewed, will all the cast be back? That's obviously a burning question since we've all gotten invested in these actors both as their characters and IRL. No one on the cast so far has made an indication they would leave despite the fact there was a weird rumor Lili Reinhart might be recast. (Totally not true, btw.) But in a town where murder seems to be a serious problem, you never know what might happen to a beloved character if we're being honest there. It also wouldn't be the first time there was a casting shake-up if someone suddenly got recast too since the role of Reggie was recast after Charles Melton took over for Ross Butler, who had already committed to the second season of 13 Reasons Why.

As for right now, there is no word as to whether more Riverdale is coming and with who exactly, but we have high hopes.
