We recently chatted with Teen Beach Movie 2 actor Ross Butler, who plays Spencer in the film, and he told us about a really scary incident that happened while they were filming the movie in Puerto Rico – a monsoon hit! The tropical storms can get really bad, with high winds and torrential downpours.
According to Ross, the storm hit during a night shoot and no one was expecting it!
"As I prepped to go through the choreography again, I heard someone say, 'Is it raining?' and I saw everyone's heads look up. Then, seemingly from nowhere, I don't even remember seeing clouds in the sky, the rain started coming down in sheets. It felt like someone was constantly throwing buckets of water on me," he EXCLUSIVELY tells us.
"That torrential downpour lasted maybe 20 minutes, leaving everything significantly wetter, which isn't great for hair and make up. But we still had to shoot the dance scene. So if there are shots of us during that scene that we look a little soaked, or the sand on the beach looks a little darker, you'll know why."
Wow! Not even a monsoon can stop the TBM 2 cast!
Are you shocked that that happened while everyone was on set? Let us know in the comments below.
