If you're a fan of Once Upon a Time, you probably know about Ruth B. Her song "Lost Boy" started out as a Vine about the show, before exploding on the internet and going totally viral. The singer fleshed out the six-second ditty into a full-length song, and just released her debut EP, The Intro, a few weeks ago! As if you're not already convinced that she's amazingly talented, we're EXCLUSIVELY premiering a live performance video of her song, "Golden" — and it will gives you chills.
Ruth also opened up about her songwriting process, and says that she never consciously sits down to write her music. It kind of just happens.
"I've always loved writing short stories and poetry. It's funny that I never really put writing and music together until 'Lost Boy,' but once I did it was the best thing ever," she told us.
"I guess in a sense I'm always writing. It’s always going on in my head. I don't really ever sit down to write a song. The idea or inspiration for the song will percolate in my head and then eventually I'll turn it into a song."
Um, that's worked out really well for her!
