Singer Zara Larsson found herself in the middle of a Twitter war with Selena Gomez fans and fans of the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why. The singer voiced her opinion about the show, and since Selena is the executive producer on the show, her fans and fans of the show sent Zara messages stating that her opinion was irrelevant.
It all started when Zara tweeted "13 reasons why is mehh don't @ me."

When fans tried to reason with her saying that the meaning behind it was important and the reason why so many people were watching it she responded saying it was not realistic.
"In my opinion, it romanticizes a revenge suicide and it doesn't bring up mental illness or depression AT ALL."
Another fan told her she did not understand the show's message and she responded saying, "I do understand the message, the show is just not my cup of tea. Too unrealistic for me. But that's just me."
The singer was bombarded with so many messages like the one above that it caused her to delete all of the tweets from her account and start from scratch. She even clarified her thoughts and said she loved Selena and Taylor Swift before deleting all the tweets she sent out prior to the arguments she got into regarding the show.

Zara's fans came to her defense saying Selena's fans had totally missed the message of the show by doing exactly what the show is asking people not to do like bullying and being unkind to other people.

Yikes! We hope that people can be a little more understanding about people's rights to have an opinion about things like show and music. Not everyone is going to react the same way to art and that is totally fine.
We hope Zara is not receiving as many messages from fans and that she focuses on the positive messages and love her fans are sending her.
