Russian Selenators are going to be pretty sad when they find out Selena Gomez was forced to cancel all of her upcoming concerts in the country! The "Come & Get It" star had fun shows planned for her tour stops in Russia later this month, but according to The Moscow Times, the officials there turned down her visa request, making it impossible for her to legally visit.
It turns out one of the reasons she got rejected is because of Russia's new anti-gay law. The authorities have been making it much harder for performers who support gay rights to enter the country, and because Selena does, it doesn't look like she's going to even get one step past the border.
Both Madonna and Lady Gaga gave shoutouts for gay rights during their shows in Russia, and the government fears Selena might do the same thing — especially since there's a petition going around asking her to do so.
Do you think it was wrong for them to deny Selena's visa? Let us know in the comments!
