Nelena fans freaked out like crazy when Selena Gomez was photographed getting cozy with Nick Jonas during a 2015 VMAs after-party, and she's finally confessing what they were really doing together that night. The "Same Old Love" singer revealed that she was just complimenting her ex-boyfriend on his performance.
"We were actually talking about the event for a little bit because I didn't see him there, and I told him I liked his performance. Then, I said hi to Joe [Jonas], so we were talking. But we grew up together! You know, it's so nice to be able to see people and talk about life," she said.
However, she claims that she has much "love" for both of the brothers, and that seeing them is like catching up with old friends.
"I mean, I've seen him a couple times but evidentially that photo was crazy. But it was great to be able to reflect on your life. It's like high school in a way. I love them, they're the greatest honestly."
So this may not appease fans of the old Disney couple, but we're happy that they love spending time with each other. It's nice to hear they're on such great terms!
