Selena Gomez has finally released a clip of her upcoming Netflix mini-series 13 Reasons Why and it will give fans some serious chills.

The "Good For You" singer has actually been connected to the project for quite some time. 13 Reasons Why was originally a fiction novel about a girl, Hannah Baker, who committed suicide. Shortly after her death, her classmate Clay Jensen receives a package of cassette tapes in the mail. The tapes allegedly reveal the 13 people who are to blame for her depression and ultimate suicide.

The story is grim yet real. It really gets into the dark details of depression and how it is a serious illness that should not be overlooked.

Selena was actually set to star as Hannah back in 2011 when the book was going to be turned into a movie. However, in 2015 Netflix took over and converted it into a mini-series. Instead of Selena taking on the lead role, she is now the executive producer.

Sel has mentioned that this is a passion project for her so we can't imagine it being anything less than epic. After months of teasing the series, a clip of the trailer is finally here and fans should get really excited about it.

The songstress posted the video clip on Instagram with the caption, "A peek at a passion project I've been working on with @Netflix. @13ReasonsWhy arrives 3/31."

It's pretty amazing how Selena has the time to fit this into her life. With everything going on between her music, her friends, her family and focusing on herself, this gal can even get behind a project that might change someone's life.

It's important to remember how impactful our words can be towards others. This series really brings to light just how much bullying, teasing or taunting someone can hurt them. Just from this clip, fans can see why Selena is 100 percent behind this series and all of the messages it tries to get across.
