Selena Gomez is in the running for Song of the Summer at the MTV Video Music Awards, but she has some tough competition — and she's the first to admit it! Her song, "Come & Get It," will be up against Miley Cyrus' hit, "We Can't Stop," and she's already feeling the heat.
In an interview with MTV, Selena said, "It's tough competition. Honestly, I was so stoked. I didn't even realize I was nominated until my friend texted me. I was really stoked, and my fans Instagrammed and Twittered me. It was really sweet. So, I'm stoked. I'm excited. I've gone to the show a couple of times, so to actually be on the other side is gonna be exciting for me."
Although Selena isn't sure how things will turn out for her, she's definitely proud of her video no matter if it brings home a Moonman or not.
"I don't know about my chances. We'll see," Selena said. "We'll see if I win, but I think it's a beautiful video, and Anthony did such a great job with it. So, honestly, I feel like it stands on its own. I'm very proud of it."
