The creator of Shake It Up passed away over the weekend, and Bella Thorne and Zendaya honored their mentor Chris Thompson by sharing photos from the set and writing heartfelt messages in his memory. He was 63 years old.

The K.C. Undercover actress called him "amazing, talented and loving" and thanked him for her first role as Rocky.
Bella even says that Chris was like a dad to her and "protected" her when she was growing up.
Adam Irigoyen also honored him with a sweet message, calling him an absolute genius.
