Shawn Mendes' birthday is always a joyous ocasion and the singer turned 19 years old yesterday so as you would assume, he celebrated this new chapter in his life with a legit bash. He had a party back in his home of Toronto, Canada at a rooftop lounge, with some of his closest friends and family. But since the celebration was in you know, a place that is open to the public, tons of other people were hanging out with the singer as he partied the night away and things got interesting.
Shawn, of course, had a little cake on hand where everyone in attendance sang a lovely rendition of "Happy Birthday."
Seriously, he looks simply so happy, as anyone should be on their birthday!
The fun didn't stop there. Although Shawn isn't really known to bust a move up on stage during a concert, he was in full-on party mode last night and danced the night away. The "Mercy" singer and his crew then hit the dance floor where they jammed out to some of Shawn's own songs. We 100% kid you not. Here he is singing and dancing along to "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back":
And we can't forget the jam that is "Treat You Better."
So it was for sure a night to remember! Some people who were in attendance at the club even shared their thoughts on Twitter after meeting Shawn. A girl named Kelsie discovered they both have the same birthday, and she let us know he was seen getting cozy with quite a few girls.
OK, boy, we see you. Hey, he's single after all and has said he's in the market for a girlfriend, so he's just living that single life right now perhaps trying to find that special someone. Another Twitter user, @SABXO though, snapped a squad pic with the singer and then claimed he wasn't all that nice to her and her friends.
"Like cool he took this pic off my phone then he was rude lmao," she wrote along with the pic she shared. Hmm, but she still took a photo with him? It seems like maybe after he agreed to the selfie, he might've not been the nicest, which is a bit of a bummer to hear. It appears some sort of not-so-nice convo maybe went down and while she had been replying to fans who have been defending the singer, she has since made her Twitter account private.
Well, hopefully everything worked out and both Shawn and everyone at the party last night had a good time. It sure seems like he was living his best life, starting off his 19th year with a bang.
