Shows Not Coming Back in 2018

2017 was a wild year both in general and in the world of TV. We got amazing new shows like Andi Mack and Raven's Home, but we also had to say goodbye to a few. If you haven't already paid your respects to our lost friends, here's your opportunity.

At least we can take comfort in the fact that they're in a much better place now: online. And who knows? Maybe instead of being all bad news, 2018 will bring more new shows to obsess over. There's talk about a High School Musical show, the Pretty Little Liars spin off, and so much more. When one door closes, another one, opens right? These lost shows will hopefully bring in a brand new wave of awesome TV.

Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything

This Cameron Boyce-led comedy was seemingly perfect for Disney XD. It centered on Cameron's character, Conor, who has to go back to school from his fancy life being a video game champion when his thumb breaks. The creator, Devin Bunje, tweeted that the cancellation was "a business decision." Gamer's last episode, "The Big City," aired during a four-part finale for Season 2 on January 2, 2017.

Girl Meets World

Fans were so excited to see an old favorite Boy Meets World get a brand new reboot with new characters. After three seasons, Disney canceled the show because it wasn't getting enough traction in its demographic, according to Deadline. The last episode, "Girl Meets Goodbye" aired on January 20, 2017. While there were rumors that another network like Netflix or Hulu would pick up the show, creator Michael Jacobs confirmed that they failed to find another venue for the series.

Switched at Birth

When two girls realize they were switched at birth, things suddenly get a lot more complicated. Freeform's Switched at Birth spent five seasons tugging at our heartstrings. According to the The Hollywood Reporter, the show didn't fit in with Freeform's new brand. The last episode, "Long Live Love," aired on April 11, 2017.

Pretty Little Liars

Four girls in the town of Rosewood are terrorized by a mysterious person called "A." But we all know Pretty Little Liars was so much more complicated than that. After seven seasons, everyone pretty much agreed that it was time to say goodbye to the Liars. The series finale, "Til Death Do Us Part," aired on June 27, 2017. The good news is that a PLL spin-off called The Perfectionists is in development.

Teen Wolf

Everything changed for high schooler Scott McCall when he is bitten by a werewolf. You thought that being a teenager was hard enough? Try doing it with claws. Teen Wolf caused enough drama for six whole seasons. After all that time, everyone felt okay ending the story. On September 24, 2017, the show's last episode, "The Wolves of War" aired.
