After Time recognized the Silence Breakers who have spoken up about their own sexual assault stories as Person of the Year earlier this week, some had varying opinions about their choice to include Taylor Swift on the cover alongside other individuals. While some felt as though featuring a celebrity took away from the message, others acknowledged the importance of honoring victims from all walks of life. No matter your wealth, occupation… or how many stadiums you’ve sold out, for that matter – nobody should make someone feel as though their traumatic experience isn’t important enough to be talked about. And for that reason, actress Sophie Turner took to Twitter to say that she thinks it was, in fact, necessary to include Taylor on the magazine cover.

After the actress publicly commended the Silence Breakers, Sophie made it a point to respond to someone, “Did we really need Taylor Swift in here though?” Her response? A simple, “Yes.”

Sophie didn’t stop the conversation there though. She later tweeted out thoughts regarding the fact that Donald Trump was named runner-up of Person of the Year.

“Wait wait wait… Donald Trump as runner up for time magazine person of the year? I honestly have no words.. What an injustice and insult to the inspiring people on the cover to have a known sexual abuser as runner up,” she wrote.

The fact that Taylor has some ancient dating drama with Sophie’s current fiancé Joe Jonas is totally irrelevant now, by the way. There’s no reason why Sophie shouldn’t support Taylor, and everyone should take notes. Sure, Taylor may have some beef with Joe’s ex Camilla Belle (if you’re not aware, just look up the lyrics to ” Better Than Revenge”), but there has never been any drama with Sophie.

Girls-supporting-girls at its finest, ladies and gentleman.
