J-14 is scouting out the hottest music around… and this week's pick is Stereo Skyline.

Here are five things you need to know about Stereo Skyline (singer Kevin Bard, guitarist Clayton Johnson, bassist Brian Maddox, and drummer Rob Michelsen), whose debut album Stuck on Repeat drops on Tuesday, July 20!

  1. Kevin says the name Stereo Skyline is a nod to their home state of New York (the New York City skyline) and their love for music (stereo), and Brian describes the band as a "fun, happy summertime band — the kind of music you can roll down your windows and cruise with your best friends to."

  2. The band is split about which song off Stuck on Repeat is their favorite! Clayton and Rob love "A Little More Us" — "It reminds me the most of the songs I listened to growing up, more poppy and boy band-ish," Clayton explains — while Kevin and Rob are into "Me And You" because the acoustic jam is different than any other track on the album.

  3. Stereo Skyline will be hitting the road with The Audition, Cash Cash, The Downtown Fiction, and Cady Groves on their The Stuck on Repeat tour starting July 28 in Milwaukee, WI. The tour wraps on August 22 in Vineland, NJ. Check here for a full listing of tour dates.

  4. Brian says his celeb crush is his GF, Miley Cyrus' BFF Mandy Jiroux! While he hasn't helped Mandy perfect any of her Beach Girls dance moves — though he says he's a sick dancer — Brian tells J-14 that "It's pretty cool to be doing the same thing as someone you care about. Most girls don't get the schedule, but she's in the same scene so it's pretty easy."

  5. Stereo Skyline have become good friends with Good Charlotte over the last couple of years. "Benji and Joel Madden took a lot of time out and sat down with us," Clayton tells us. "They talked with us about their experiences and gave us advice for our first record release. Some personal one-on-one time with them was pretty crazy. They are the nicest guys."

Stereo Skyline stopped by the J-14 office to tell us all about their new album, Stuck On Repeat, and give us a 14-Second (Or More!) diary of their day. Check it out here:
