Now that Reputation has been out for a couple of hours, and fans have had time to digest all the lyrics and who they could possibly be about – Taylor Swift is also doing more than just letting her music do all the talking. Aside from releasing music, the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer dropped a magazine to accompany the album that’s titled Reputation Vol. 1.

So what’s inside the glossy mag? There’s tons of personal work from the superstar, including some very personal poetry. Though the one thing that has caught just about everyone’s eye is the poem titled, “Why She Disappeared.” Fans are taking it as an explanation from Tay as to why she decided to flee from the spotlight for more than a year.

Within each of the lines, the “Gorgeous” singer goes off to list various reasons as to why she had enough with all the attention directed towards her and they include “fair-weather friends” who vanished when things got tough. The media mistaking her acts of kindness as anything other than genuine, and “a love that was really something. Not just the idea of something.”

Yikes! At the time nothing was right – not even in the romance department. Could that be about Calvin Harris? Tom Hiddleston? At this point, it doesn’t really matter. Those relationships are all in the past, and Tay is beyond smitten with her new guy, Joe Alwyn – who’s gotten the seal of approval from her besties Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran.

As the poem continues on, fans can see that despite all the negativity surrounding the “Bad Blood” singer during that time, she was able to come out of it and find happiness again. The final two lines in the poem “and in the death of her reputation, she truly felt alive” kind of says it all – doesn’t it?
