The Harry Styles news just keeps on coming!
Just on the heels of the singer making not one but two huge announcements about the solo music career he is about to embark on in just a few days, someone who has worked with the actor has decided to speak out about his talent.
The director of his latest film Dunkirk – Christopher Nolan has decided to share the reason as to why he decided to cast Hazza in his latest film.
Speaking to the LA Times, the renowned director revealed what it was about Harry that made him want to put him in the film, and it all bubbles down to talent!
If fans were hesitant about how good of an actor the One Direction singer would be, they can rest assured that he’s got what it takes to make it in Hollywood.
“For the guys on the beach, we really wanted young unknowns. He’s not that unknown, but he’d never done anything as an actor before. So he auditioned. I auditioned literally thousands of young men with different combinations of young men. And he had it,” Christopher Nolan revealed.
Of course fans also remember that this role required Harry to cut his hair – much to the surprise of many, and it seems that the decision wasn’t without it’s drama.
When asked if the singer was hesitant about the haircut required for the part, the director simply answered, “I don’t want to get into it.”
Yikes! It sounds like there might have been some issues regarding the short do’. Though seeing as Harry was probably extremely committed to getting everything about the role just right, we’re sure that convincing the singer to cut his signature locks wasn’t too much of a stretch.
There are so many things to look forward to in the world of Harry Styles! This just put our excitement to see him flex his acting muscles into overdrive!
