James McVey, you speak directly to our soul. The Vamps' singer has covered everything acne to his favorite movies in his vlogs, and now he's addressing something that will make drama-exhausted fangirls want to post a thousand praise hands emoji. You know how any band is constantly pitted against other bands? Well, he has an important message: you can like more than one group. In fact, it's encouraged.
"A lot of people tend to presume that people in the industry aren't allowed to get along, so apparently we should really not be liking bands like Fifth Harmony or 5 Seconds of Summer or One Direction because we're in the charts together, or we're going on tour at similar times or we have songs out at the same time," he said.
In fact, the guitarist insists that they love other musical acts. And while there may be a dose of friendly competition between them, it's all cool.
"I wanted to say for me, and I know, speaking on behalf of the rest of the guys, we absolutely love those bands. Now, I think on Twitter people want drama. People want there to be 'James from The Vamps is attacking One Direction, saying their new song is rubbish' or 'Fifth Harmony are copying Beyonce' or something like that. As I said before, I think a little bit of competition is good, but it's positive competition. It's not a nasty sort or hostile relationship between the two bands."
Truth! These are very wise words, and it's great that he's being so open about it with fans.
