Directioners are always coming up with new ways to get their favorite One Direction boy's attention, but some fans might be taking it too far when it comes to winning over Harry Styles' love on Twitter. In fact, it's become a trend -- and not exactly a good one.
A countless number of fans have been tweeting Harry letting him know their pet died -- whether it's their cat, dog, or even their goldfish -- in hopes that the curly-haired superstar will make them feel better. We've gotta admit -- in situations like that, a tweet from Harry would definitely help a little bit! Some even ask for a meeting with him so they have a (very studly) shoulder to cry on.
All of these tweets got some much attention that the Twitter handle @HarryMyCatDied was actually created by comedian Stephen Frizzle. A lot of Directioners obviously aren't happy about him making fun of them, but the account is getting bigger and bigger as it retweets what he considers the "best" pet tweets.
Getting Harry's attention is great, but we're sure seeing all of his fans' sad tweets is really hard for the 1D hunk to deal with -- especially when he's on tour. Instead of tweeting Harry about sad things, maybe it's best to stick to the happy things and have your family and friends jump in when you're looking for a much-needed hug.
