Girl Meets World star Uriah Shelton is under fire today after TMZ reported that he allegedly kicked one of his female friends in the stomach during an argument they had. She supposedly was blocking him from getting into his truck when he struck her causing "inflamed intestines and bruising to muscles." Not only that but the victim is also claiming that Uriah verbally threatened her. After the incident, a judge issued a restraining order and told the former Disney Channel star he must stay at least 100 yards away from this particular female friend.
A rep for Uriah said he would, "never harm another person and is currently unavailable for comment." The actor himself has yet to speak out about the situation. However, this isn't the first time he has made some controversial headlines. At the beginning of 2017, he and co-star Rowan Blanchard turned heads when they publicly made it known that they did not like each other.
Rowan's Instagram comments section was flooded with fans writing 'End Uriah' because he had liked a post that said society doesn't need feminism. Not only that but he also posted photos of his own that may be deemed insensitive. Rowan commented in her own comments section in response to everyone else and said, "I don't have time for him and his stupidity lol."
Later on, Uriah seemed to confirm that Rowan actually did not like him. He posted a screenshot of their text message thread where he tried to genuinely congratulate her on the success of the Girl Meets World series. However, his text was unable to be delivered proving once and for all that he and Rowan were not on the best of terms. He even said in the text, "Hey. I know you hate me..." He also exclusively told M Magazine that there was tension between the two. Uriah said, "As for Rowan, Rowan doesn’t necessarily like me. We’ve had a lot of [differences]. She doesn’t really like me. I don’t care. I mean, I don’t have anything against her. She’s a very, you know, passionate girl. She definitely wholeheartedly believes what she does." Yikes...

Uriah's restraining order comes ahead of the 13 Reasons Why season 2 premiere, the Netflix series were he plays a minor character at Liberty High School. Ironically, he gave an interview talking about the seriousness of bullying and hurting others. He said the biggest takeaway watching 13 Reasons Why is to, "realize what your actions and words do to other people."
He continued, "Once you do realize the effect they have on others, don't use them for the wrong reason. Don't manipulate, abuse, or hurt anyone with them. And if you do accidentally hurt someone, make things right with them. It may be hard, but it's the right thing to do." He's definitely right. Maybe Uriah should look back on this interview now and take a few pointers from his own book.
