When Justin Bieber first got on the scene as an inexperienced YouTube sensation, Usher took him under his wing and mentored him. Since then, the young singer has gotten into multiple scuffs with the paparazzi (and even Orlando Bloom). While his mentor defended his bad boy behavior last year, he says that he doesn't approve of the "Boyfriend" singer's recent behavior!
"I can say I'm not happy with all the choices my friend has made, but I'm supportive of him," he told Us Weekly. "He's making his own decisions and it's important to show support."
"Our relationship is more man-to-man now I try my hardest to give as much positive reinforcement as I can. I'll punch him in the chest when I need to, and give him a hug and kiss when I need to."
We think it's sweet that they have such a great relationship, but we think that if Usher is so worried about his protege, they should have a conversation sooner rather than later!
