Madelaine Petsch and Vanessa Morgan are best known for making up the Riverdale couple #Choni – AKA Cheryl Blossom and Toni Topaz. But what is their relationship like in real life? The two took part in a friendship exercise with Glamour Magazine – and aside from a lot of hugging, the girls revealed a lot about how much they mean to one another. Just a warning: What they say about one another is so sweet – you might just shed a tear.

How did they meet?
They two met an audition for Riverdale, and the rest was history!
“I remember looking at her in the audition room, and being like – oh my God, I freakin’ love her outfit. And supposedly, she was looking at my shoes,” Vanessa spilled during the Friendship Test video. “We just like hit it off like crazy.”
What do they love about each other?
“You are the most supportive person I know. Truly,” Madelaine told Vanessa in the Glamour video. Vanessa responded by expressing just how much Madelaine’s support means to her.
“You always make me feel better. Whenever I’m having any of my anxiety attacks – I can come over, have a tea, chill, and I instantly feel better.”
Madelaine chimed in, “Always a tea. Always chill.”
What do they do when they hang out?
Madelaine spilled about what she and her gal pal do together, and the 24-year-old basically described what any normal friendship is like!
“Vanessa is my best friend in the whole entire world. I don’t think there’s anybody who knows be better than Vanessa Morgan. There have been plenty of nights that I’ve cried on her shoulder,” Madelaine told Glamour. “[We] just talk about stuff and watch stupid reality TV shows. We’re like your everyday, normal, average best friends.”
Her 26-year-old bestie added, “And now we’re dating on a TV show!”
Are Vanessa and Madelaine dating IRL?
Nope. Unlike Toni and Cheryl, Vanessa and Madelaine are just friends IRL. In fact, they both have boyfriends! Vanessa is dating 22-year-old baseball player Michael Kopech, and they’re absolutely adorable together. As for Madelaine, she is in a relationship with Travis Mills – and they met in a super sweet way.
Madelaine’s 29-year-old bae joked in her #AskMads YouTube video, “I drove down to Riverdale, ordered a milkshake at Pop’s diner. I threw it all over the diner. She was like, ‘I like your style.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, come with me.’ And I drove her back to California and never let her leave.”
OK, so he was totally joking. But don’t worry – Madelaine spilled the real story.
The actress said in an interview, “He messaged me on Facebook in January of season one and congratulated me on the show. He had auditioned for Jughead. I think we just randomly had mutual friends, so we added each other. We kept in touch very rarely, not even that much, from January to February, and then the day I got back from season one in February I was bored in L.A., believe it or not. I was like, ‘What am I gonna do?’ I got my hair cut and he texted me like, ‘Let’s go to a movie!’ We hung out and spent every single day together that I’ve been in L.A.”
