If Directioners think Zayn Malik was done revealing his side of the story regarding his days in One Direction – you might want to think again!
It was just revealed that Zayn and producer, Dick Wolf, are teaming up to create a television series airing on NBC titled, Boys, that follows a group of guys in a band who are skyrocketed to fame in a short period of time.
Viewers will be able to see all of the good that comes with it, like the fame, money, celebrity status and fan base and fun. But also, the pressure that is put on the guys behind-the-scenes.
President of NBC Entertainment, Jennifer Salke, said, "Zayn certainly brings an authentic point of view to this world where kids are catapulted into fame at a dizzying speed. On top of our excitement around the creative ideas being discussed, we have a lot of respect for the musical and digital ambitions behind the project."
Of course, the "Pillow Talk" singer has an authentic viewpoint but what will the other boys think? Should NBC consider their opinions as well?!
Regardless, Zayn is really freaking excited for this new project. It will be interesting to see how he handles the television platform over a musical medium. With his recent anxiety struggles, we have a feeling this will be a bit more low key than dealing with the pressure of performing in front of millions by himself on stage.
Zayn said, "Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome."
