Zoella opened up earlier this year about her struggles with anxiety, and how as quickly as her following was growing on YouTube, her anxiety got more and more intense. She is now breaking her silence since that post, and is claiming that people are saying she is making it all up just to get more viewers.

“Cyber bullying is an issue I feel passionate about addressing. Unfortunately, it’s an experience I know about all too well, having gone through it myself in recent years. I’ve had comments about being too skinny and that I pretend to suffer from anxiety to boost my subscriber figures," she wrote for The Sun, in a now deleted post.

In her previous post from October she opened up about what she was facing saying, “Some weeks I’d feel on top of the world, and other weeks I would be rocking back and forth in tears on a train on my own on my way to London to film something."

“Although I never really talked in depth about my anxiety and the rise of my channel at the time, it was something that was extremely challenging to balance. Knowing I could stay at home and not run the risk of a panic attack, or pushing myself because I WANTED TO DO IT. The amount of times I’ve stood outside my own launch events crying and struggling to breathe and not being able to step back inside."

Oh no. We feel so sorry for the YouTuber. Having anxiety could be totally crippling, especially when you are in the public eye. Though accusing someone of making up their mental health struggles is quite offensive, other people do exaggerate their conditions without being properly diagnosed. Zoella did that she sees a therapist about her condition and that she has been diagnosed.

Can you believe people are saying she is making this up for viewers? Tell us in the comments.
