Miley Speaks Out on Bus Accident!

Early this morning one of Miley Cyrus' tour buses flipped over and the driver was killed -- Miley was not on the bus. The singer and the Cyrus family just released this statement:

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill "Uncle Bill" Douglas," says a statement on Miley's website. "Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed."

Happy Birthday Cody Linley!

Best known as teenage heartthrob Jake Ryan on Hannah Montana, acting and singing wasn't the only focus of Cody Linley's when he put on his dancing shoes for last year's season of Dancing with the Stars and placed fourth in the competition! Today, this triple threat celebrates his twentieth birthday! Happy Birthday, Cody!

J-14 Breaking News: Justin Bieber Arrest?

There's no doubt everyone loves Justin Bieber -- but that love turned dangerous just a few minutes ago during an autograph signing at Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, New York.

Justin was supposed to show up for a signing at 4 p.m. today -- and thousands of fans turned up to wait for the 15-year-old. But the fans' excitement got out of hand as fights started breaking out.

A fan who there tells J-14 exclusively that she waited for 20 hours overnight and got up to the stage where he was supposed to be, but when she got there, he wasn't there.

The reason? Justin's reps tell J-14 that cops are threatening to arrest Justin himself and his mom if they even try to enter the event. Police are forbidding him to show up at this point because of the chaos.

But you know Justin, he's all about his fans. We know he'll find a way to make it up to his fans.

UPDATE: November 20 4:37 p.m. Justin just tweeted that one member of his team has already been arrested -- he will not be appearing at Roosevelt Field Mall today, so fans should all go home for their safety. Justin's tweet reads, "the event at roosevelt mall is cancelled. please go home. the police have already arrested one person from my camp. I dont want anyone hurt"

Miley's Tour Bus Crashes!

Reports are surfacing that this morning one of Miley Cyrus' tour buses flipped over on a highway in Virginia killing the bus driver and injuring nine others. Although this is apparently the bus that Miley always rides in, she was not on the bus at the time.

Details are still coming is. Keep checking back j14.com for all the latest developments.

UPDATE: Officials are now saying the bus that flipped over was part of a four bus caravan and Miley was on another bus that was not involved in the crash -- the tour's lighting crew was on the bus that flipped.

Fourteen people were are board including the driver, who passed away. Authorities are investigating if the driver actually died at the steering wheel which then caused the bus to lose control and flip. Only one other person was sent to the hospital for injuries.

Reports also say that the highway was extremely slick and wet from overnight rain.

Exclusive Q&A with The Hills' Stephanie Pratt

With just a few eps of The Hills' fifth season left, J-14 just had to get our fix in before it was too late! Stephanie Pratt has been crazy busy but we chatted with her (while she was taking care of her parents' dog!), and she told us all about life without Lauren, how she really feels about Kristin, and her Team Edward obsession!

J-14: Has it been weird for you to not have Lauren Conrad there?
Stephanie Pratt: It's really lame. Audrina [Patridge], Lo [Bosworth], and I all miss her the same amount. We all talk about it when we go to beach houses in Malibu and parties. We were all really good friends -- she's Lo's best friend is gone -- so it's sad. We still hang out -- we have each other on BBM.

J-14: How have you adjusted to Kristin Cavallari being there?
Stephanie: I've seen two different sides of her. It's really hard trusting someone who you don't know. I'm a sensitive person in general -- even seeing strangers upset makes me sad! I'm trying to work on not being affected by everything that goes on. Everyone's [been] trying to give Kristin a chance, and we're all having a lot of fun hanging out in Malibu. You try to make new friends and keep the old ones, but right now the dynamic on the show is that people are having to make a choice, so there's a lot of tension.

J-14: Is it weird to have Kristin and Brody Jenner filming together again?
Stephanie: It's not really. I've known Brody forever. He was best friends with my brother when him and Kristin started dating five years ago -- that was so long ago! They really just seem like friends. She was the first girlfriend that Brody was settled with -- they were in a committed relationship. Brody and I don't really get along. I like to stay clear of him. I completely took Audrina's side with the whole Hawaii thing.

J-14: How do you feel knowing that some of the things happening in your real life aren't shown on TV?
Stephanie: The only thing that bothers me is that no ones ever seen the other side of [my brother] Spencer. But no, we've never, ever seen a script! It's always fun to watch other reality shows and be like, 'I don't believe that's how any of them are,' but for us pretty much everything is what it is, just edited down.

J-14: Are you Team Jacob or Team Edward?
Stephanie: Edward! I was reading Twilight shouting out loud, 'I hate you Jacob!' I was so mad at him! On my BBM, my status would be, 'Jacob leave her alone!'

J-14: Do you have a celeb crush?
Stephanie: Ryan Gosling!

J-14 has the inside scoop straight from the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards!

Hey J-14ers,

I was lucky enough to not just watch the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards being taped last night at NYC's Roseland Ballroom, but I got to head out on to the red carpet too! I talked to all the celebs about who they were excited to see at the awards show and, of course, talk about New Moon!

Sparks the Rescue's single is called "We Love Like Vampires," so I had to ask if they were Team Edward or Jacob. "Team Bella!" guitarist Toby McAllister told J-14. But Zooey Deschanel -- her hubby happens to be Death Cab For Cutie's lead singer Ben Gibbard -- told me she hasn't seen the movies! "I just haven't gotten to it, but I'm open to it," Zooey told J-14. "I love the soundtrack!"

Never Shout Never's Christopher Drew -- one of the night's big winners who told me, "I wish I was a vampire!" -- was psyched to see Death Cab perform, while singer Kenna loves Alicia Keys. In fact, he wanted her to win the Good Woodie award for charity work -- over himself! But would he pull a Kanye West if Alicia didn't win? "Yes," he told me. "I'll take the award from whoever - like if I win it, I'll take it from myself. Is [Taylor Swift] here? I want to give her a hug."

He wasn't the only one -- the Kanye incident was mentioned by rapper Asher Roth when he presented an award. But the biggest surprises of the night? Matt & Kim's back-up dancers stripping down during the band's opening number (they still had some clothes on -- don't worry!), 3OH!3 dressed up in two of Lady Gaga's craziest outfits, and Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester presented with the legendary Cydni Lauper!

My fave parts of the night overall were just watching Death Cab perform their hit off the Twilight soundtrack, "Meet Me On The Equinox," and one of my all-time fave songs of theirs, "The Sound of Settling." P.O.S. rapping through the crowd was pretty cool too, as was mega rock band The Dead Weather performing three songs to close out the night -- after all, they're an awesome group who hardly ever take the stage!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon Heats Up (Literally!)

Hi there J-14ers!

It's crazy that after an excruciating year-long wait since its predecessor, in the fastest 130 minutes ever, it was all over.

There was the debate over whether Taylor Lautner would be recast, there were the surprise big-name casting announcements (Dakota Fanning!), and there was the endless speculation about whether on-screen sparks between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had lead to a real-life relationship.

But strip away the controversies and hype around The Twilight Saga: New Moon (opening tomorrow), and what you have is simple story anyone can relate to: a young girl with a "hole" in her heart after losing her first love.

Sure, with its sleeker makeup (less campy, more vamp-y) and high-tech special effects (sparkles worth "ooh"-ing for), New Moon is more of a slick "Hollywood" film than the gritty indy feel of the first Twilight. But at the core, it retains what has turned it into an international phenomenon -- the irresistible eternal love story between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, this century's Romeo and Juliet.

And then, of course, there's the werewolf factor -- which heats up this movie (literally!). With Rob Pattinson as the clear central character of the first film, skeptics doubted whether 17-year-old Taylor Lautner could step into the role of a physically more powerful character, Jacob Black.

From the first millisecond he appears on screen, there's no doubt that this guy was born to play this role. His age is barely a factor, as he steps it up big time, taking charge -- both flirting with and protecting Bella. Taylor shows he's got the chops to take what was a three-scene role in the first movie into leading-man territory.

Oh, and did I mention yet that this serious heart-wrenching vampire-werewolf movie is actually funny?! The theater erupted in laughter constantly -- from the wisecracks of Bella's high school friends to the endearing one-liners from Bella's dad, Charlie (dare we suggest Team Charlie?!).

But whether you're Team Jacob or Team Edward (which I clearly remain after this movie!), New Moon is really all about Team Bella. Kristen Stewart is the true star of the film -- capturing the realness of the confusing times of heartache, heartbreak, and ultimately true love.

And I promise you no spoilers, but I'll guarantee you one thing -- the very last line will leave you screaming... and wishing you could borrow Hermione's time-turner from Rob's other movie franchise, Harry Potter, to fast-forward to June 30, when The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters!

Let the countdown to Eclipse begin!

J-14: Rosalie Cullen is all about beauty -- is that a lot of pressure to play?

Nikki: I feel incredible insecure. I feel embarrassed. At times flattered and at times, I just want to apologize to everybody. You know, I'm really appreciative to have that role, but in order for me to not just like fall apart because of the pressure of playing that character with that description is just sort of unbearable at times.

J-14: Do you try to turn the focus away from her looks?

Nikki: I just tried to look at her as every other aspect aside from her being the most beautiful. When you have like 30 million people reading a book, everyone's going to picture in their minds who the most beautiful person in the world is -- it's not me and I know that. But I'm really grateful to all those people that think that I fit that -- thank you.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Rob Pattinson visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show -- and she quizzed him about his hot body! (How much do we love Ellen for that?!)

Rob spilled, "I saw an interview the other day with a fictitious quote saying that I was proud of my abs. I was like, I would never say that in an interview and I actually saw the film yesterday and I was like yeah. This is the first time I've ever been proud my physical appearance in my entire life!"

Awww! You've always been a hottie, Rob! ;)

Secret Life + Greek + Make It or Break It = ABC Family Mondays This January!

Good news The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Make It or Break It fans! The shows will premiere one week earlier than originally announced -- now on Monday, January 4 on ABC Family.

And now joining them will be Greek, so it'll be three original new ABC Family shows all back to back (to back!).

Nick Jonas & The Administration will perform their first single "Who I Am" for the first time on the Grammy Nominations Concert Live! special on December 2 on CBS.

Who I Am is also the title of their debut album that includes songs called "The Rose Garden," "Olive & An Arrow," "Conspiracy Theory," "State of Emergency," and a cover of the Jonas Brothers' song "Tonight." Who I Am is scheduled to come out on February 2.

Exclusive Q&A with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz

Fall Out Boy are taking a little break -- don't worry, they'll be back! -- but in the meantime, they realized a greatest hits album this week called Believers Never Die. J-14 talked to bassist Pete Wentz all about the album, Taylor Swift, and what Pete really thinks about his new haircut.

J-14: What is the new single off Believers Never Die - Greatest Hits called "Alpha Dog" all about?
Pete Went: I hate explaining lyrics, but one of the things that I've loved about Bob Dylan is that he never really explains it and that way you can have the song mean anything you want to you. But at the same time, "Alpha Mega" is a biblical term that means beginning and the end in an Alpha Dog and a Megalomaniac, or two similar dispositions -- something about opening the curtain and then walking off into the sunset.

J-14: Why was this was the right time for a greatest hits album?
Pete: We decided we were going to take a break for a little bit. We've been doing record, promo, tour, tour, pre-recording, record, promo, tour, tour for like eight years, and we're like, 'We're going to take a break and we're not going to put terms on the break as far as dates go.' We're not disillusioned in that we have a greatest hits the same way that Bob Marley would or the Eagles would but at the same time, it gives us the chance give a thank you to the fans. There's secret messages in the artwork and there's two new songs on it. "Alpha Dog" was a song that we demoed half of and put on a mixtape earlier on the internet earlier this year. Fans seemed to kind of react to that, so we decided that we wanted to write and record full versions of it.

J-14: You said Fall Out Boy was going on an "indefinite hiatus" -- what does that mean the band?
Pete: We haven't said an indefinite hiatus -- I don't know really where that came from. We're just taking a break and decompressing. We're not putting terms on when we're coming back. We're going to come back when everybody's excited about it and it's fun. I think if we kept going at the pace we were going at, there was a definite implosion that would have happened -- this allows breathing room and us to be creative again.

J-14: A lot of your lyrics are very deep and personal -- what is it like to hear Patrick Stump singing the words you wrote?
Pete: They make more sense to me. It's like I find the anthropological site and then he's the one who identifies the dinosaur -- he puts the pieces together. It's more therapeutic to me to watch somebody else do that and sing them. He also has the voice of a cute little angel.

J-14: What was it like to do the Band Hero commercial with Taylor Swift, who called you one of her heroes?
Pete: Did she? I keep hearing this from people and it blows my mind. Oh wow. It was kind of cool! I only saw the commercial once to be honest because I've been out of the country for the past twelve or thirteen days. I admire her as a person in her genre because of her songwriting abilities -- I think a lot of people don't write their own songs. She's a very honest, genuine person. She came by the shoot when we were shooting when she didn't really need to -- I think to see how slick the floor was -- but she was rad.

J-14: How do you feel about your haircut being a big deal to people?
Pete: I know. What is the deal? It made national news. We're talking about the healthcare reform and then there's Pete's hair. It's only hair. It will grow back. It felt like it was made out of Legos, like I could just take it off and put it on someone else. The swoosh had to go. I was a little bit nervous about the shape of my head at the time. [Now] I feel more aerodynamic.
