Little Mix's sophomore album Salute is out today and it's already number one in the US iTunes store! The British girl group, which consists of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, is no stranger to success. They became the first group ever to win X Factor UK back in 2011, and in exactly one week they'll be joining Demi Lovato and Fifth Harmony on the Neon Lights tour. We seriously can't wait!

The girls never met before X Factor but have a ton of weird connections.

"Jade's mum is called Norma and that was my grandma’s name," Leigh-Anne recently explained. "Jesy's brother is called Johnny, which is my dad's name and Perrie's brother's name. Perrie's mum is called Debbie which is my mum's name."

"And Perrie and I lived in the same town, five minutes away from each other, knew all the same people but we just never met," Jade added.

Perrie is really good at making goat noises.

The girls' original band name was Rhythmix.

They were forced to change it after finding out that a children's music charity had the same name. "We came up with some ideas for our new name which we discussed with [our mentor] Tulisa and she had some ideas too," they explained at the time. "We all agreed on Little Mix as it just felt right."

Jade auditioned for X Factor two times before winning with Little Mix.

She made it to Boot Camp in series 5 and 7 but never made it to the live shows.

The girls' motto for the band is "always be yourself."

Jesy moved school five times because she was bullied.

"I got picked on because I've always liked to dress different," she explained. "I've never really wanted to fit in with everyone else. But I like being individual. I think it's cool. I think the world would be boring if everyone looked the same.”

Leigh-Anne is afraid of flies.

According to the singer, she hates all flying bugs.

Perrie's brother used to call her "u-no-brow" because her blonde eyebrows were hardly visible.

The girls all gave each other nicknames on X Factor.

Jesy's was Whinny Willow because she was always crying, Leigh's was Diva Debs, Jade's was Poopey because she's little and cute, and Perrie's was Stressy Sue because she was always stressed.

Perrie doesn't have a sense of smell.

"People are always like, 'Oh, isn't that really horrible?' And I'm like, 'No, because I've never known what it's like to smell,'" she said.

Jade is afraid of clowns.

"I'm quite scared of everything to be honest. I am scared of heights, spiders, clowns, everything," she has said.

Jesy takes the longest amount of time to get ready.

"I like having a nice amount of time, I hate rushing! I like just knowing I’ve got time to get ready and chill," she has said.

En Vogue's "Don't Let Go" is the song that first really brought the girls together as artists.

"When we performed that for the first time [on X Factor], we felt like we came together as a group," Leigh-Anne has explained. They later went on to perform the song in the competition's finale.

Jesy is afraid of sandwiches.

"Ive got a phobia of sandwiches or anything slimy on bread. It makes me feel sick. Bread and butter? Euch! I'd rather eat dog poo. It literally makes me retch, just the thought of it," she has said.
