The 2017 Grammy Awards are less than a week away and fans can hardly contain their excitement. There's so much buzz regarding what's going to go down between the rumored couples walking the red carpet together to the performances that will blow everyone's mind.

There's talk that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd might sit together and Katy Perry just announced that she's performing! There's no doubt about it that the show is going to turn into one epic night.

So, how do we know that this year's Grammy awards are bound to have some crazy stuff happen? Because crazy stuff happens EVERY year at this awards show. When you put some of the world's biggest music stars in a room together, things get pretty wacky.

In 2014, Beyonce and Jay-Z delivered one of the hottest performances the Grammys have ever seen. Queen Bey started their hit track, "Drunk in Love", by singing and slithering around on a rotating chair until Jay joined her on stage. This was seriously iconic, not to mention it opened the show so it set the tone for the rest of the night. To be honest, fans shouldn't have expected anything less from the legendary duo!

Taylorgrammys

Taylor Swift brought the house down in 2014 as she sat at the piano for her entire performance. She sang her song, "All Too Well" and give the audience chills. It was said to be one of the most emotional performances ever as Taylor went from a quite serious attitude to rocking her signature headbang while not missing a beat!

Nicki Minaj reenacted an exorcism and basically levitated herself high above the stage. Of course, it wasn't real and she was strapped in but still, this was unforgettable. Nicki performed her track, "Roman Holiday" and really turned heads. That year she was nominated for Best New Artist.

In 2005, Kanye West quite literally got his angel wings. He sang his track, "Jesus Walks" alongside musical icons such as John Legend. Not only that but there was a massive group of singing parishioners behind them. In true Kanye fashion, he actually flew above the stage wearing his wings at the end of an iconic performance – talk about symbolism. This was also the year that Kanye walked the red carpet with his late mother, Donda West.

Katy Perry came down from the ceiling in a gold plated banana before stepping on a fruit filled stage to sing her rendition of "I Kissed a Girl" at the 2009 Grammy Awards. There's really not much that can top this.

Justin Bieber stole the show even before his performance at the 2016 Grammys. He walked the red carpet with his little brother Jaxon Bieber and it was too cute to handle. As for his performance, it was everything the fans wanted. He sang "Love Yourself" and "Where Are U Now" – both hit singles from his new music. This performance was a real comeback!

P!nk performed her hit song "Glitter in the Air" at the 2010 Grammys. But, her performance was anything but typical. P!nk actually sang the track while doing aerial aerobics soaking wet. That's definitely not something you hear every day and she wowed the crowd. If she wanted people to never forget this, she nailed it!

Adele is always a showstopper but when she performed at the 2012 Grammys she made a comeback. Why? Because she had just gotten vocal chord surgery less than a year before and she sounded seriously incredible belting out her song, "Rolling in the Deep." That year, Adele won six Grammy awards!

Britney Spears was super young and fresh on the scene back when she performed at the 2000 Grammy Awards. Not only did she change costumes and have an incredible dance squad behind her, but she also performed two songs, "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" and "…Baby One More Time." She started off in a pink tutu and then again emerged in this sultry red number. Her performance was SO Britney. It was a classic, timeless and totally unforgettable.
