Get well soon, Aaron Carter! On Thursday, November 14, the “I Want Candy” singer took to Instagram and posted a picture from inside a Destin, Florida hospital. The concerning image shows the 31-year-old curled up under a blanket while laying in a hospital bed and hooked up to an IV.
“Momma’s gonna take care of you,” he captioned the photo, tagging his mom Jane Carter.
As fans know, this came after the singer made headlines back in September after an appearance on NBC’s The Doctors where he admitted he is battling many mental health issues.
“The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety; I’m manic depressive,” he said on the show.
Not shortly after, on September 17, Aaron took to his social media and told fans his brother and Backstreet Boys member, Nick Carter, took out a restraining order against him.
“So my brother just got a restraining order against me. And I was just served lol. Take care. [Nick] we’re done for life. … You should send a cease and desist while you’re at it too,” he continued. “I haven’t seen him in four years. And I don’t intend [to].”
Nick responded on his own social media and revealed that he decided to file the restraining order after Aaron allegedly threatened to kill his then-pregnant wife and unborn child.
The “Aaron’s Party” singer also recently opened up about drug issues. On Sunday, November 10, Aaron appeared on an episode of E! True Hollywood Story and confessed that he used to mix various prescription drugs together without knowing how they could really affect him.
Aaron has not offered fans and followers details about what led to this hospitalization and it is unclear if this is related to his mental health and drug issues or the ongoing family drama.
