After news officially hit the web that TikTok influencer Addison Rae would star in the upcoming reboot of famed 1990s flick She’s All That, the social media personality took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message thanking fans.

“My dreams are coming true! I’m so excited to finally share the news that I am getting the opportunity to make my acting debut in HE’S ALL THAT, which is a remake of one of my all-time favorite movies, SHE’S ALL THAT,” Addison, 19, wrote on Friday, September 13. “I’m so grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me and none of it would have ever happened without every single one of you. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! I can’t wait for you to see it! I can’t wait to work with this amazing team and everyone involved in making the film and am so thankful to everyone who gave me this incredible opportunity. THANK YOU! I’m so excited for y’all to meet Padget!”

The gender-swapped reboot is set to reimagine the original movie, putting “a 21st-century spin” on the plot, according to Variety, and Addison is set to star as “an influencer who attempts to turn a nerdy boy into prom king.” The 1999 film followed a high school jock who attempts to turn the school’s art nerd into a prom queen after getting dumped by his girlfriend.

The team who brought fans the original flick — which starred Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachael Leigh Cook, Paul WalkerGabrielle Union and more — will return to write and produce the remake with the man who’s responsible for Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, Mark Waters, set to direct the entire thing.

“This reboot is a welcomed step towards a new generation of [film studio] Miramax storytelling,” Miramax CEO Bill Block told Variety. “Part of our greater strategy to leverage our existing library with fresh, re-imagined content in both film and TV.”
