If you’ve been tuning in to this season of Dancing With the Stars, then you know that Instagram queen Alexis Ren and her partner Alan Bersten simply have electric chemistry on the dancefloor. But what’s the deal with them IRL? Well, they were flat out asked while hanging out with ET Online and tbh, they were rather coy about their relationship status.
“I mean, we’re just so happy to be here and I love him so much and I love his energy so much and we’re just been so focused on the competition,” the 21-year-old model said with Alan totally agreeing.
“The experience is once in a lifetime and we’re making the most of it and really just going out there and having fun,” the 24-year-old dancing pro said.
Hmm, okay, so not a total denial, but they’re making it clear they’re focused on just making it through each week and hopefully winning that mirrorball trophy at the end of the competition! But it’s been reported that Alexis and her boyfriend Sky Bear have just recently called it quits and in his IG bio, it now reads “Dropping off Instagram for a bit.” And he was always vocal of his love for the starlet on the ‘Gram.
So now that she’s single, what does this mean for Alexis and Alan? Alexis hasn’t publicly commented on the status of her love life but when ET asked the pair if, down the line, they could see things turning romantic for them, they both just laughed it off, making it known they’re not thinking that far ahead yet.
“Again, we’re taking one day at a time here,” Alan said with Alexis adding, “I can barely get through Mondays!” As of right now, they don’t seem to have dating on their minds, but Alan has been a super supportive partner to Alexis and the judges of the show have commented on how solid their chemistry is in the ballroom.
“I feel like Alexis is so empowering when she dances and it’s beautiful to see,” Alan said about his partner. Aww, now that is the sweetest!
Who knows, maybe this friendship will blossom into something more. We’ll just have to wait and see.
