We have some heartbreaking news for you guys. After two years of marriage, Pitch Perfect stars Anna Camp and Skylar Astin have decided to go their separate ways.
Life & Style confirmed the shocking split on Friday, April 19.
“We can confirm that we have decided to separate, and this decision was made mutually and amicably. We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition,” the couple said in a joint statement.
The two haven’t been spotted together since January, and they also unfollowed each other on Instagram. Their last photo together was an adorable selfie that the 31-year-old actor shared to his Instagram on January 1, 2019.
In the snap, the two could be seen celebrating the new year together, and they looked happier than ever.
As fans know, the couple wed back in October of 2016 after falling in love on set of Pitch Perfect in 2013. A ton of their costars were at the magical wedding, including Brittany Snow, Ben Platt, Rebel Wilson and Elizabeth Banks! And get this — Brittany was even a bridesmaid! How sweet?
Wow, she seriously looked breathtaking! People Magazine reported that she wore a Reem Acra dress, and boy, was it stunning.
“We were friends first and just hit it off. He’s just so great,” Anna, 36, gushed to Glamour about Skylar back in 2014. “He’s just such a fun guy. He’s great. He was dating somebody, and I had been through [a divorce] and he was like, ‘Do you want to go on a date?’ I remember thinking, Well, he’s younger than me. He’s five years younger. He’s 26, and I’m 31. But I was like, ‘You know what? OK! Let’s do it, let’s see.’ He’s literally my best friend.”
Ugh, we may or may not be crying. We’re pretty bummed that the couple has decided to call it quits but we wish them both a ton of happiness.
