Zendaya and Zac Efron along with legendary actor Hugh Jackman have blessed us all with the epic musical movie that is The Greatest Showman. And since you know, our two fave Z's happen to play star-crossed lovers who are in a forbidden romance, the actors naturally have an insane amount of on-screen chemistry. And before you start shipping them IRL, they are just friends. Besides the fact that Zendaya is rumored to be dating her Spider-Man Homecoming co-star Tom Holland, both she and Zac while they brought to life a super romantic love story, are actors after all. So no, no real love match here.

They did instantly hit it off once they met and since they have to fly up on a trapeze together on their first day of rehearsals, they got to know and trust each other very quickly. Oddly enough, their connection didn't have anything to do with their shared Disney Channel background. They just always had each other's back. So we of course just had to round up some of their cutest BFF moments they've had along the way that prove Z Squared is the friendship we all need in our lives.

That time Zac got butterflies while looking into Zendaya's eyes.

The Greatest Showman gang put on the first ever live commercial leading up to the premiere – you know, like Grease: Live or Hairspray Live!, but just under three minutes. Zac opened up in an interview about how he felt the moments leading up to the live taping, and it's safe to say he and his other half of Z-squared shared a moment.

"I had the most butterflies probably in recent years, looking into your eyes about to start that dance," Zac said to Zendaya during an Australian morning show appearance.

Zac totally tried to be a big brother to Zendaya.

"I think like once, I was trying to be Big Bro, just like, check in. I thought you were bummed out one day. … You were just texting," Zac said to the Los Angeles Times while Zendaya was sitting right next to him. The both totally laughed about this, but hey, it's sweet Zac was checking in on his girl and made sure she was doing okay. They were always checking in on each other to make sure they weren't hurt and were making it through their tough filming days up on the trapeze together.

"Zac and I have really become a team, we're literally tied together up in the air, so we have to have a trust and a connection," Zendaya said in a video. Circus life is clearly no joke!

Zendaya isn't afraid to call out Zac and bust his chops every now and then.

While basically everyone has had a crush on Zac at some point, the starlet admitted she never really thought of him that way and because of that, she really got to know him.

"I got to know him. He’s different from what people think. He’s this slightly awkward, nerdy kid who happens to have this life," she said to the LA Times. Umm, how cute is that?

The story they got to tell in their movie is unlike anything they've ever done.

Their characters in The Greatest Showman, Philip and Anne, fall in love but this story takes place during a time when interracial couples were unfortunately frowned upon. Basically, they have to keep their romance under wraps so when they get to finally kiss, it's a major moment in the movie. And while Zac has said their characters' kiss in the movie is his favorite on-screen smooch he's ever done, Zendaya went on to explain further that it had nothing to do with the actual kissing, but just the significance behind it.

"This kiss is very special not just because it’s two actors kissing, it’s not a normal kiss," Zendaya said to Yahoo 7. "These two characters have gone through so much and this kiss symbolizes a lot more than just kissing someone. In the context of the movie, it’s very brave and honestly dangerous. There’s something special about it in that way."

Zac is always gushing over how great it was filming with Zendaya.

"I'm working with Zendaya, she's just incredible. In this movie, I get to fall in love. Falling in love and having my eyes opened," Zac said in a video interview. "She’s beautiful and rad, with a fearlessness that is impressive in someone her age. I think I still have quite a bit to learn from Zendaya," he also said to Glamour. Umm, crying forever. Oh, and let us not forget Zac's precious birthday tweet to Zendaya, to which she replied and called him her partner in crime.

So thanks to The Greatest Showman for bringing together Zac and Zendaya. We're all forever grateful.
