Ariana Grande is literally the queen of hype right now, as she truly the world was anxiously waiting for the release of her music video for “Thank U, Next”. We already knew it was going to be nothing short of epic since she recreated scenes from legendary movies like Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Bring It On, and 13 Going on 30, and had a cast of truly amazing people starring in it. But now, she just went ahead and left us all even more shook. Ari is a legit bride in the video too, and we get to see her decked out in a full-on wedding dress. IT WAS EVERYTHING.
The 25-year-old songstress first took to YouTube to share a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video and toward the end of the clip, we see Ari getting ready to walk down the aisle! Although we don’t get a full glimpse of her head-on, we do see her besties Alexa Luria, Courtney Chipolone, and Victoria Monét dressed up as her bridesmaids in light pink dresses.
And we see Ariana looking as glam as ever standing in the white dress. There’s even an adorable little flower girl too.
Now, at the end of 13 Going on 30, the protagonist, Jenna Rink, marries her one true love and we know that Jenna is the character Ari is portraying in this video. And we see in the vid, that Ari as Jenna walks by this little wedding scene, while she sings the verse about one day walking down the aisle herself. Since Ariana called off her engagement to Pete Davidson, we never got to see actually get married yet and be a bride, but she’s clearly not letting that stop her from you know, just pretending to get married in the video.
