Get ready, you guys! Warner Bros.’ animated Scooby-Doo movie, titled Scoob, just cast its young Velma, and they’ve chosen Stuck in the Middle star Ariana Greenblatt to voice the iconic character.

Yup! According to The Wrap, the 11-year-old will officially be taking on the role, but she’s not the only one joining the already legendary cast. So who else has hopped onboard? Pierce Gagnon — the 13-year-old from Twin Peaks — is set to voice the character of young Fred. How exciting is that?!

But wait, there’s more. If you haven’t heard much about the upcoming animated film, you may not know that the cast is actually pretty star-studded. And by that, we mean the cast is very star-studded. Zac Efron will be voicing the character of adult Fred, while the one and only Amanda Seyfried has signed on to voice the character of Daphne.

OK, at this point you’re probably wondering which actress is going to voice the character of adult Velma, and don’t worry — we’ve got answers. Gina Rodriguez will be the voice behind Adult Velma, and we seriously can’t wait! Not to mention, Will Forte will be the voice of Shaggy and Tracy Morgan will voice Captain Caveman. In other words, Warner Bros. is really pulling out all the stops to make sure this film is top-notch, and it shows.

So what can we expect from this flick in terms of its plot? Great question! According to The Wrap, “the Mystery Inc. group will team up with other members of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly.” AMAZING!

Of course, this news is even more exciting because the last Scooby-Doo movie to hit theaters, called Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed, came out back in 2004. The movie grossed $84.2 million at the box office, and it was the sequel to Scooby-Doo, which came out in 2002 and earned a whopping $153.3 million. WOAH.

Now that we know who’s in the cast, we have a feeling this flick is going to do just as well. And let’s be real: 15 years after the last Scooby-Doo movie hit theaters, we think we’re definite due for a new one.
