Fans were pretty heartbroken when news hit the web that Ariel Winter and her boyfriend, Levi Meaden, had split. Yep, according to Us Weekly, the couple have decided to call it quits after almost three years together.
As fans know, the two stars began dating in November 2016, and they were pretty much couple goals after that. They were constantly sharing the cutest snaps together, packing on the PDA and gushing over each other in interviews! They even got matching tattoos back in 2017. They both got half of a heart on their hands, and everyone was obsessed.
But the former couple hasn’t been spotted together since August. And on October 8, Ariel was snapped on an intimate dinner date with another guy. So what went wrong between the 21-year-old and the Breaking In actor? Well, some fans have speculated that their 10-year age gap may have been an issue. But back in 2017, after the couple announced they had moved in together, Ariel insisted that the age difference definitely didn’t matter to her.
“I’m happy, and whatever people want to say, they can say. I don’t understand why someone would even comment on our situation at all. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal,” she said to Refinery29 about the people hating on their age difference. “There are tons of people of all ages that live with their boyfriend.”
Back in July, she opened up about their relationship to Us Weekly, and the pair seemed as happy as could be.
“He’s a wonderful person. He’s always there for me … all the time,” the brunette beauty gushed. “He’s always trying to make me feel good about myself, but also just to be there for me as a person, you know? Just as me, as Ariel. That’s hard to find, is people who just take you for you. The good, the bad, the ugly — everything.”
It looks like these two just weren’t meant to be.
