It looks like Austin Butler has officially moved on! The actor has sparked relationship rumors with his Elvis costar Olivia DeJonge, just one month after his split from ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.
The former Zoey 101 star shared a snap of himself alongside Olivia and the Elvis film’s head of movement and choreography, Polly Bennett, to Instagram on Sunday, March 1. Naturally, his 2.3 million followers were shook after they saw that Austin had posted a picture with the actress, and they quickly started to speculate that something might be going on between them.
Rumors first started swirling that the two might be dating back in January 2020, after they were spotted looking “very cozy” at a movie theater in Melbourne, Australia, according to MTV News.
So, who is Austin’s rumored new lady? Well, Olivia is a 21-year-old Australian actress known for her roles in TV shows like Will and The Society. She’s also appeared in movies like Stray Dolls and Josie & Jack before nabbing the coveted role as Priscilla Presley in the upcoming Elvis biopic. Unfortunately, until they confirm anything, it’s hard to tell if they’re in a relationship or only friends, but time will tell if this is a new couple alert!
For those who missed it, Austin and Olivia’s rumored romance came just one month after an insider confirmed to Us Weekly on January 14, 2020, that the 28-year-old and his ex, Vanessa, had broken up after almost nine years together. According to E! News, it was long distance that ultimately caused the pair to go their separate ways. An insider told them, “They’re just shooting on two different continents and it’s a matter of distance. There is no bad blood at all, and they have a lot of respect for each other.”
Another source added, “They have such a history and deep connection they could find their way back to one another.”
Austin has yet to confirm or deny rumors that he’s dating Olivia.
