We first fell in love with Avan Jogia during his Victorious days, but it sounds like he doesn't think of the show as one of the major highlights of his career! While speaking to Interview magazine, he opened up about his Nickelodeon days, and says that he learned a lot of important skills from his turn as Beck — but hinted that it didn't do much for his acting skills.

“[It] was like college, the whole experience. You learn these skills — photos, red carpets, interviews. But those things end up being ancillary. It’s only about the work, and I try my best to concentrate on that.”

While we don't think he regrets being on the show (he's obviously still friends with so many members of the cast and learned a lot about the acting business), it sounds like he's more excited about his upcoming projects. He's writing and directing a short film.

"It's basically about the desperation of people and what they're willing to do, or not do, to lift themselves out of it. I'm not in it. Because there are a lot of pieces in it, I want to make sure I'm not wearing too many hats," he revealed.

That's definitely exciting! We obviously miss his turn as Beck, but we're glad that he's pursuing his passion projects now.
