From the looks of it, people are not happy with Bella Thorne after she took to Instagram on Wednesday, October 30 posting photos of her Halloween costume. The Shake It Up actress shared a collection of selfies showing off her face makeup which included a bruise around her eye and a bloody lip, along with the caption, “Hire me for your Halloween makeup I got u boo.”

Fans were quick to slam the 22-year-old’s Halloween look by accusing her of glamorizing physical abuse. Instagrams users even called her out by commenting on the photo calling the images “insensitive” and referring to the costume as cultural appropriation.

“Why???? I feel this is too close to physical abuse, you’re crossing a fine line,” one fan said, with another adding, “Do you think this is a joke? Making fun pretending to be a beaten woman? Really?”

This isn’t the first time Bella has found photos she posted on social media as a topic of conversation. Back in June, the actress shared nude photos of herself as a way to stand up to the man who hacked her account and threatened to release her personal photos. Most fans and fellow celebrities were proud of her brave actions, but The View host Whoopi Goldberg slammed her for taking the photos in the first place. She took to social media writing a note to the TV star and had the perfect response.

“Your view on this matter is honestly awful and I hope you change your mind set as you are on a show talking to young girls,” the Disney star fired back on her Instagram Stories.

It’s no secret that Bella is super open about with her followers about everything she went through in her life. Back in July, she sent an amazing message to female fans who may be suffering through similar situations as her.

“But what I will say is, you just have to literally keep fighting. There are too many times in my life where I thought maybe fighting isn’t worth it. But it just is. It is every single time,” she said on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast. “After you get beaten down again, and again, and again you have to just keep fighting even when you feel it might kill you. You hate yourself for it. You feel disgusting. But you are not a bruised fruit. You’re fruit is still beautiful.”
