She’s getting closer. Bella Thorne just updated fans about her progress in finding the hacker who threatened to release her nude photos, which ultimately led her to leaking them on her own.
The Famous in Love star took to Instagram on June 21 to share a screenshot of a text message conversation about the case.
“Getting closer to finding this guy,” the 21-year-old Disney Channel alum wrote alongside the image, adding an angry-face emoji.
While the Midnight Sun leading lady didn’t reveal the name of the sender, the person who she was speaking with called the individual who allegedly stole the nude images is “way more sophisticated than we thought” and not a “nun of the mill hacker.” Yikes!
This all started when the star took to Twitter on June 15 to release the personal photos and explain the situation to fans.
“Yesterday, as you all know my s–t was hacked. For the last 24 hours I have been threatened with my own nudes. I feel gross. I feel watched. I feel someone has taken something from me that I only wanted one special person to see,” she wrote alongside the pictures. “He has sent me multiple nude photos of other celebrities. He won’t stop with me or them he will just keep going. For too long I let a man take advantage of me over and over and I’m f–king sick of it. I’m putting this out because it’s MY DECISION NOW. YOU DON’T GET TO TAKE YET ANOTHER THING FROM ME. I can sleep tonight better knowing I took my power back. You can’t control my life. You never will.”
“Here’s the photos he’s been threatening me with. In other words, here’s my boobies,” she added. “So here, f–k you. The last 24 hours I have been crying instead of celebrating my book while doing my book press. Oh yeah, the FBI will be at your house shortly, so watch your mother f–king back.”
