OMG: Bella Thorne Has Low-Key Starred in More Movies Than You Think

Getty

Bella Thorne may have made a name for herself on her Disney Channel original series Shake It Up alongside The Greatest Showman star Zendaya, but that was only the beginning. Since then, the actress has starred in a ton of other projects. If you're anything like us, you can't get enough of her Freeform show Famous in Love (because like, who isn't?). But right now, we're here to talk about her movies. Why, you ask? Well, because they just simply need to be honored for their greatness. So please join us as we take a look at at all the films Bella has starred in since Shake It Up wrapped.

The Duff

If you saw The Duff once, then you most likely saw The Duff 20 times. It's just one of those movies that you can watch over and over without it getting old. The story revolves around a high school senior, played by Mae Whitman, who finds out that her friends call her "The Duff" (AKA Designated Ugly Fat Friend). Bella plays the mean girl that is just so easy to hate. No really, her character is such savage – in a bad way.

You Get Me

What starts out as a normal movie turns into Bella's character going full-blown psycho mode on this guy she is creepily obsessed with. Oh and it stars Nash Grier too, so it's a must-see.

Blended

This 2014 film Bella starred in alongside legendary actors Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore is the rom-com everybody needs in their lives. Given the fact that it's an ensemble cast, there are multiple story lines in the film – but let us just round up Bella's part. Essentially, her character is raised by Adam Sandler's character – and they end up going on a big blended family vacation with other families.

The Babysitter

Bella didn't only star alongside Robbie Amell in The Duff – they were also co-stars in The Babysitter. Essentially, it's about a little boy trying to spy on his babysitter – Bella plays one of the babysitter's friends.

Amityville: The Awakening

If scary movies aren't your thing, then it might be best you stay away from this one. In Amityville: The Awakening, Bella plays the role of Belle. Basically, her house is haunted and her brother is creepy AF.

Midnight Sun

Starring alongside Patrick Schwarzenegger and Rob Riggle, Bella plays 17-year-old Katie Price, who lives with a rare sensitivity to sunlight. She only gets to live her life to the fullest when the sun goes down, but keeps her condition a secret from her crush until they start to fall in love.

Shovel Buddies

In Shovel Buddies, Bella Thorne's character Kate teams up the friends of her deceased brother to grant her bro's dying wish to be buried in his football jersey. The problem is that his parents arrange to have him cremated, so they have to go searching and scheming Pretty Little Liars style.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Based off the children's book of the same name, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day follows the story of a family whose day just straight up sucks. As the high maintenance girlfriend of Dylan Minnette's character, she's not everyone's favorite in the movie – that's for sure.

Boo! A Madea Halloween

Boo! A Madea Halloween is about a girl named Tiffany whose dad goes out of town, so Madea comes to watch her. Tiffany and her friends scare Madea into going to bed early so that they can go to a party, and of course, Bella's character is in on the plan.

Perfect High

This one's a heavy story, that's for sure. Bella portrays a girl named Amanda who dislocates her knee while dancing and ultimately gets addicted to her painkillers and even gives them to her friends.

Frenemies

Everyone loves a good Disney Channel Original Movie, and this one goes down in history. Bella and her Shake It Up co-star Zendaya play total besties who end up getting in a bit of a tiff, hence the name "frenemies." If you haven't seen this one, do yourself a favor and watch it. It's a Bella Thorne classic, you guys.

And let us not forget the movies she lent her voice to...

Bella has even done voiceover work in movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, The Guardian Brothers, Frog Kingdom, and Ratchet & Clank – even some video games too!
