One thing is for sure, Scream Queens star Billie Lourd is one brave soul.

It was just two days before Christmas when the Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher – Billie's mother – went into cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was immediately taken to the hospital upon landing where she died on December 27th, 2016.

As Billie and her family tried to cope with the sudden loss, her grandmother Debbie Reynolds, suffered a possible stroke while trying to help with Carrie funeral plans. Debbie was transported to the hospital and she died soon thereafter. It was just one day after Carrie had passed away.

Billie had just lost the two most important women in her life in a matter of hours and no one saw it coming. Her Scream Queens co-stars rallied around her as well as her family, but the world had not publicly heard from the actress in the wake of the tragedies – until now.

Billie took to Instagram to thank all of the fans, family and friends who have reached out to her in the past week. She posted a throwback photo with her mother and grandmother and captioned it, "❤?‍?‍?❤ Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist. There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me."

This is super upsetting and all of our thoughts go out to Billie as she tries to make sense of what has happened. We have a feeling she will be able to overcome this just as her mother and grandmother would have wanted.

They were definitely one of Hollywood's most famous generations of women and it's sad to see two of them gone with the blink of eye. Billie's uncle, Todd Fisher, said that Carrie and Debbie will most likely have a joint funeral. The memorial will supposedly be private.

There's no update on when that will exactly be.

For now, we can only hope that Billie is surrounded by family and friends during this difficult time.
