Everyone was pretty shook when Why Don’t We member Jack Avery welcomed his first child with ex-girlfriend Gabriela Gonzalez back in April 2019. Now, baby Lavender May is growing up!
“I’ve had the privilege to love you for two years now. I never knew I could love someone so much until you were born,” the singer wrote on Instagram in April 2021 alongside a video of his daughter. “Here are many things I love about you … Your smile and how it lights up every room you’re in, your cute little nose, your eyes, your hair and how it’s not fully grown from your bangs, your ambitious way of having fun every second of everyday, your kindness, your passion of making sure anyone around you is doing the same thing as you, how you say ‘come on dada,’ or the love you have for coco melon, how you love bubbles in a bath more than anything, the way you run as fast as you can and it’s the same speed as me walking as slow as I can, the way you randomly hug me as tight as you can and kiss me on my cheek and most of all the way you cuddle me through the whole night and leave me with less than 10 inches to sleep on the bed with.”
Jack continued, “I could go on forever. I just want to say thank you to YOU Lavender May for being the one person that can make me smile at any given moment. I can’t wait to watch you grow even more so I can learn more about you everyday. I am beyond lucky to call you my daughter and I promise to be the best dad I can ever be until the day I die.”
