The guys of BTS have been slaying it out on tour, having just wrapped up the U.S. batch of shows and are now in Europe before heading to Asia. So yeah, they’re pretty busy! And while fans were hoping to see them at the 2018 American Music Awards, the K-Pop group was actually performing in London, so they couldn’t make it to the show.

But they were nominated for an award, Favorite Social Artist, and they won! AMAs red carpet hosts Laura Marano and Scott Evans presented the award and accepted it on behalf of RM, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga, V, Jin, and J-Hope. The guys might’ve not been able to be at the show in person, but they did send in a video message accepting the award.

“We are BTS! Thank you so much, we are so thrilled to win the Favorite Social Artist Award. Sorry we can’t be there, we’re in London starting the European leg of our tour. We just finished touring America and there was so much love and support. Thank you Army so much for voting for us for this very special award and thank you AMAs,” they said in the clip.

OK really, how cute are they in their matching outfits, clearly showing us all how they’re ready to hit the stage at any moment?! So while they weren’t at the actual show like their fans had hoped to see, they had a very valid reason for not being there. And they still won, so true legends all around. They did appear at the AMAs in 2017, so let’s hope next year they’ll be able to kill it.
