Camila Cabello is an artist who isn’t afraid of giving fans an in-depth look at her life through music. With the release of her first album The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving just around the corner, fans are getting a few more deets on what inspired certain songs – or who, in this case.

Recently the “Crying in the Club” singer gave an interview with Flaunt Magazine where she talked about the inspiration behind the album, and how her love life may have inspired a song or two. Camila has been linked to a lot of guys in the past like One Direction cutie, Niall Horan, Shawn Mendes who she’s collaborated with in the past, and Austin Mahone who she may have dated for a short time back in 2014.

Their time together was a little fuzzy considering at one point Austin said his ex Becky G was his first real girlfriend, but then backtracked and admitted he did date the “Havana” singer. Now, Camila is saying her piece by revealing, “Latin music has influenced me in every way, even in “I’ll Never Be the Same.” That was about a boy that I was with for like three months, not even, it was like two months, and I’m just like, ‘you’re the one…it’s you!’”

Was Austin the one for her at the time? More importantly, how do fans know this song could be about the “What About Love” singer? It’s not too hard to figure out. Camila pretty much gave the answer when she revealed just how short the relationship was. She and Austin were together for about two months, so it was all anyone needed to get their sleuthing hats on and figure out the identity of this mysterious ex she was talking about. Only a few weeks stand in the way of fans getting to the bottom of this.
