They’re the Riverdale couple fans can’t stop gushing over! Camila Mendes and Charles Melton have gone Instagram official, after rumors swirled they were dating for quite some time. Charles just took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of the pair, and our hearts are fluttering over the cuteness.
Charles and Cami’s Riverdale co-stars went wild in the comments section, proving they’re just as excited to see these two together as fans are.
The actress then shared a shot of Charles on set with a kiss mark she left him on his cheek.
These two though. Cami was the first one to debut their relationship on social media with a super cute picture showing her bae kissing her on the head.
Their co-stars and other celebs left comments on her post too, expressing their excitement, chiming in with the positive fan reactions.

It was reported in September that the two were seen locking lips while out and about in Vancouver, where the show is filmed.
“Camila sat next to Charles and leaned on his shoulder,” the source told E! News. “As the lights were dimming, my friend saw them kiss!”
This wasn’t the only proof. The two have been hanging out together quite often. In addition to running into fans together and sharing videos of the same fireside hangout session, they were also getting snuggly on a shared beach towel while on a yacht with their castmates during Labor Day weekend.
Before going Instagram official, their co-stars kept their lips sealed about their friends’ relationship. KJ Apa, 21-year old leading star, and his co-star Casey Cott even joked in an interview with ET Online that KJ is the one in a relationship with Charles – you know, to divert the conversation away from Cami.
“You seem to post him a lot on your Instagram,” the 26-year-old actor, who plays Kevin Keller, said. “Me and Charles are actually dating,” KJ replied.
So let’s relive the past for a second, here. Cami was previously dating Victor Houston – a non-actor she knows from her pre-stardom days back home. They reportedly went to neighboring high schools in Florida. Rumors were confirmed when Camila had gone public about their relationship in an E! News interview at the 2018 Beautycon LA event. He then attended Comic-Con 2018 in San Diego with Cami, proving they were ready to flaunt their relationship to the world. Cami even spilled about her ex in an interview for the July 2018 issue of Nylon.
The 24-year-old actress said, “It’s somebody completely out of the industry. It’s funny because I’m more hesitant to talk about it because I don’t want him to read this… I actually would totally talk about it right now, if I didn’t feel like, Wait, he might read this.”
She even went on to say that she’s so not into dating actors.
“Actors are really emotionally complicated. You would think they would be more in tune with their emotions, but sometimes they’re just not. I just really need to get out of this industry with someone who is in a stable environment,” the actress admitted.
But despite the fact that they appeared to have a happy summer together, it was reported in August that the two called it quits.
Previously, Cami came to Charles’ defense after he received serious backlash from his history of posting fat-shaming tweets. The actress is a serious advocate for body positivity, as she watched her sister battle a “very serious eating disorder” and struggled with body image issues of her own. That’s why she partnered with Project Heal, an organization that raises awareness for eating disorders and helps fund treatment for those who can’t afford it.
“I think the biggest message through Project Heal is to let the public know just how high the costs really are to get treatment, and how an eating disorder is not recognized as a mental illness when in fact, it is one of the deadliest mental illnesses there is,” she shared in an interview for Marie Claire Malaysia‘s June 2018 issue.
So you could see why Charles’ mean messages could’ve disturbed Camila, but she told Access that her co-star apologized to her and that she knows that’s not the kind of person he is.
“He was devastated — he felt really sorry about it and he called me personally and he said, with everything that I stand for, [that] he’s really sorry,” Camila said. “I know Charles, I know he’s not actually a bad person. And I think it’s a matter of sometimes you tweet something a long time ago and they’re buried in there and they come out, and it sucks, and I do not agree with anything he said or support those statements, but I know that’s not who he is.”
