Sometimes, there are celebrity best friend pairs that come along and make your heart oh so happy. As fans, seeing your fave stars hang out together and actually be total besties is pretty freakin’ cool and makes these larger than life celebs seem more like you and your friends, right? Well, not every friendship stands the test of time and some people just drift apart. Whether they had a falling out or simply are just busy and don’t really have the time to see each other as much anymore, even stars have to deal with not being as close to someone who was once their ultimate best friend.

So we decided to take a little trip down memory lane and looked back on stars who were once super tight and now, maybe aren’t anymore. At least not publicly! And tbh, we kind of forgot these bestie pairs were even a thing, that’s how long it’s been. Check out the gallery below!

Once upon a time, these two were rarely ever seen without each other. Pia was dating Bella’s brother Remy and the girls became super close, attending events together and just being the best of friends. But by 2012, they drifted apart and to this day, the singer and actress really don’t talk anymore.

Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian

The Biebs might be tight with Kim’s younger sister Kendall and he’s even married to one of Kenny’s best friends, but he was first close with her big sis, Kim. The pair met at the White House correspondents’ dinner back in 2010 and fans were so quick to assume Kim was trying to date Justin that he had to take to Twitter to let the world know they’re just friends. The pair reunited a few months later for a beach photo shoot together and while we’re sure they’re still friendly to this day, their interesting friendship won’t ever really be able to top when they first had everyone talking.

Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato

Miley was super close with Mandy Jiroux as longtime fans know and Demi was often hanging out with her BFF Selena Gomez, so it’s hard to imagine these two friends with anyone else back in the day. But yes, Miley and Demi were the best of friends and although they eventually had a few public falling outs, from Twitter fights to Demi then saying she and the “Wrecking Ball” singer were just “acquaintances,” it really became hard to remember when they were actually friends!

Selena and Demi obviously will always be connected as they were the ultimate BFF pair when they were the queens of Disney Channel and today, Sel’s friendship with Taylor Swift is one of the cutest in Hollywood. But she’s been besties with actress Lily Collins for years now and it’s often a bestie ship everyone tends to forget about! The beauties both even dated Taylor Lautner, but that didn’t stop the girls from staying forever friends. They might not publicly hang out together all the time, but they always have love for each other.

There are many celebs in Taylor’s circle of besties, including Selena, Ed Sheeran, and Camila Cabello, but let us never forget that Tay and Emma were once as tight as can be. Although they’re still cool, with Emma even starring in a movie with Taylor’s boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, these two don’t publicly hang out as much as they used to. They’re both super busy you know, slaying in their respective careers, but there’s no bad blood here. Let’s hope they give us a red carpet reunion of sorts soon because we miss them.
