In what we would like to call a major midweek plot twist, Charlie Puth revealed that he secretly has gone on dates with Glee actress, Lea Michele. He appeared on the Capital Breakfast show with Roman Kemp to play a quite terrifying game of 'Trick or Treat.' A lot like James Corden's 'Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts' game, Charlie had to either answer a question for a treat or refuse to answer and get tricked in some way.
Charlie answered the last question by completely spilling the beans about his secret rendezvous with Lea. Roman asked him, "Which celebrity have you been on dates with that we don't know about?" If he didn't answer, Roman was apparently going to spit out Charlie's personal cell phone number on air. Not cool, bro. But, we're absolutely loving the ultimatum here because it encourages Charlie to truthfully respond. So what did he say? He blurted out – without hesitation no less –, "Lea Michele. Done."
Talk about a Halloween bombshell! However, true Charlie fans will remember that the singer was actually spotted with Lea walking out of Craig's restaurant in Los Angeles at the end of May. However, we all just chalked it up to these two being friends. No one suspected there was any kind of romance or dating situation going on here. Apparently, fans had got it all wrong.
Clearly, that's Lea in the back of him. Charlie didn't give any details about the status of their relationship now; you know, whether they are still friends or if they still secretly hang out. However, there are a few interesting things to note. The past couple of guys Lea has dated have all been around her age. Charlie is six years younger than Lea. While the heart wants what it wants, it's kind of obvious that these two may not have hit it off for another reason.
Lea was confirmed to be dating Zandy Reich in mid-July. That was less than two months after she was seen walking out of dinner with Charlie which is probably why no one really got caught up in their hang out sesh. Not to mention, they were never seen together again. We need answers but at this point, it's pretty far-fetched that Lea will ever actually speak up about her now infamous secret dates with Charlie. A source told our sister site, Life & Style, that Lea and Zandy and "getting super serious… She's at a point where she's more than ready to settle down and start a family, and they've already started talking about moving in together." Looks like she's found her man. Sorry, Charlie.
But the "We Don't Talk Anymore" singer probably isn't too torn up about Lea's apparently serious relationship. He went on the Ellen Degeneres Show a couple of weeks ago and said, "I'm actually not single right now, I'm in a relationship but I went through this whole thing when I was on your show last I was talking about [it], but I'm kind of done with dating people in the public. It never ends well, especially for me." So, it's safe to say this girl isn't an A-lister. Charlie has had his fair share of those relationships. Remember the Bella Thorne drama? Not only that but he was also rumored to be dating Louis Tomlinson's ex-girlfriend Danielle Campbell. Unfortunately, unlike Lea's very public romance at the moment, he's probably going to keep this one under wraps.
