We don’t know about you, but we simply can’t watch a movie at the theater without popcorn. But now, Regal Cinemas theaters will be taking their popcorn to the next level, with a flavor that might be even more delicious than that classic movie theater buttered popcorn we know and love.
Regal Cinemas will start offering Cheetos popcorn on December 15 in participating theaters. Yes, Cheetos popcorn. Featuring a mix of Cheetos-flavored popcorn and pieces of Crunchy Cheetos in 32-ounce cups, this snack is sure to bring delight to fans of the brand’s “dangerously cheesy” flavor all across the nation.
“We’re excited to give moviegoers a chance to experience Cheetos in an unexpected and delicious new way through our first national theater partnership,” said Sean Mathews, the director of marketing for Frito-Lay North America, in a press release. “Cheetos and popcorn are the ultimate movie snack combination, and Regal Cinemas is the perfect partner to launch Cheetos Popcorn nationally.”
Cheetos popcorn had previously been available at select venues, like certain ball parks, but this is its first national partnership with a movie theater.
“Cheetos Popcorn is our gift to Regal fans enjoying their favorite movie this holiday season,” said John Curry, the senior vice-president of foodservice for Regal Cinemas. “We are thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like Cheetos to deliver blockbuster snack choices to moviegoers.”
And what a gift it will be this holiday season! We’ve already heard about a lot of great movies opening in theaters this holiday season, so we can’t wait to unwrap this tasty-sounding present the next time we head out to catch a film.
