It's no secret former Girls Aloud star Cheryl is a massive dog lover, so fans were left devastated for her when she revealed the news her beloved Chihuahua Coco has passed away. With her boyfriend Liam Payne away, it seems Cheryl had some spare time on her hands as she took to Twitter to reply to her army of fans.

When one fan called @beckyy_thomas sent Cheryl a photo of her pooch, the singer confirmed the sad news about Coco. Replying to the photo, she wrote, "She's very sweet. Girl dogs are always so cute. Sadly my little Coco passed away last week."

Fans were quick to reply to Cheryl's message, sending her their love and condolences.

Cheryl first bought Coco when she was married to former England footballer Ashley Cole. She also has a male Chihuahua called Buster, who currently lives with Cheryl and Liam at their family home. The new mum often posted photos of her beloved dogs Buster and Coco to her Instagram pages, leaving fans gushing over their cuteness.

Meanwhile Cheryl attended the Game 4 Grenfell on Saturday afternoon. The former X Factor judge attended the charity football game with her best friend Nicola Roberts and handed out medals to local children before the big match. After the game, Cheryl tweeted her thanks to everybody that donated to the cause and urged more people to give money to help the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. She wrote, "Big love to everyone who came to the #Game4Grenfell today and shout out to the players. To donate £3 text Grenfell to 70007."

One Direction star Liam celebrated his 24th birthday whilst the pair were out in Majorca, so Cheryl organized a very special surprise for her man. Speaking to Mail Online about his birthday, Liam said, "It was amazing, there were multiple surprises throughout the day. We got away for a little holiday and she had flown all my school friends out that I literally haven't seen for a year, so it was amazing to spend time with them."
