Hey Clueless fans, we have the most exciting news ever for you! Yep, you might want to brace yourselves because there’s reportedly a new spinoff show in the works about Cher Horowitz’s BFF Dionne, and we’ve got all the exciting deets on it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBCUniversal’s new streaming platform, Peacock, is working on the new comedy series, which will revolve around the character who was played by Stacey Dash in the original movie. It’s unclear whether or not the actress has signed on to reprise her role or if a new star will be cast instead, but either way, we know it’s going to be epic!

The reboot is described as “a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sunglasses-wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong number two Dionne steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans. How does Dionne deal with the pressures of being the new most popular girl in school, while also unraveling the mystery of what happened to her best friend?”

Wow, how awesome does that sound?! The iconic movie’s writer and director, Amy Heckerling, is unfortunately not involved in the project. Instead, Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey are writing it and producing it, along with Corinne Brinkerhoff.

As fans know, the original flick came out in 1995 and it also starred Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, Brittany Murphy and more. It followed a shallow and rich girl named Cher who, after getting two teachers to fall for each other, decides to become a match maker for the new girl, Tai.

It turns out, this isn’t the only remake that the network has up its sleeves. Yep, they’re also bringing back the show Saved By the Bell. Former Jessie actress Josie Totah, Mitchell HoogBelmont CameliDexter DardenHaskiri Velazquez and Alycia Pascual-Pena are set to the star in the new show. There’s no release date for it yet, but you can check out the trailer here!
