Is Selena Gomez returning to our TV screens? Fans are seriously convinced that the actress is gearing up to star in the upcoming fifth installment to the Scream franchise, so we decided to investigate.
The rumors first started to swirl that she was appearing in the movie after a bunch of eagle-eyed fans noticed that a lot of cast members from the upcoming flick recently started following Selena on Instagram.

Plus — get this, you guys — Courteney Cox, who as fans know played Gale Weathers in the series, recently commented that she “can’t wait to meet” the singer. OMG.

Obviously, until the Disney star confirms anything herself, it’s all speculation for now, but we really hope this is true!
As fans know, this isn’t the only thing that the “Rare” songstress may have up her sleeves. Yep, besides dropping her own HBO Max cooking show (called Selena + Chef), executive producing a new movie called This Is the Year and confirming that she’s hard at work on her next studio album, there’s also rumors going around that a Wizards of Waverly Place reboot may be in the works. Especially since David Henrie recently revealed that the entire cast is totally down!
“Nothing has happened yet, but there’s a lot of talk,” he told Access. “We all talk about it for fun… Everyone would be down, but it’s just a matter of time I think.”
As fans know, the show also starred Gregg Sulkin, Jennifer Stone, Jake T. Austin, Maria Canals-Barrera and more, and it followed a magical family who had to learn how to master their new powers or lose them forever.
“We’ve talked about it, Gregg, Selena, me, Jake, and I think what we said what made the show special, was that we were a family, and that the family stuff together was like a family unit,” the actor continued. “I think a great place to start the show would be the opposite version of that, so you have somewhere to go throughout the series. So if you started the show where the family’s divided, and not united.”
